Biography
Kwadwo Essuman Amissah (Eric Kwadwo Amissah) is an associate professor in the Department of Graphic Design Technology at Takoradi Technical University (TTU), Ghana. He holds a PhD in Arts and Culture – 2020 from the University of Education, Winneba, Ghana; M-Tech in Printing – 2020 from TTU; Erasmus Mundus European M. A in Media, Communication and Cultural Studies – 2011 from the University of Firenze, Italy; M. A in Communication Studies – 2011 from Roskilde University, Denmark; M. A in Art Education – 2005 from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Ghana and B. A (Hons) in Publishing Studies – 2000 from KNUST, Ghana.
He became a Lecturer in 2006, Senior Lecturer in 2016 and an Associate Professor in 2024.He has published widely in high-ranking academic journals and authored several books, and has teaching and research interests in the fields of art education, graphic design, publishing/printing, media and communication.
A passionate sports enthusiast, he coaches the university's basketball team, leading them to many victories. As a former West African Junior Gold medalist in long jump, his athletic achievements highlight his dedication and talent. His contributions to the university's Publications Board and his leadership in both academics and sports are highly valued.
